Transformers Reactivate gameplay trailer leaks online

Up until early 2025, Splash Damage had been working on a big new Transformers game. Unfortunately after years of work, the game was quietly cancelled, causing a rift between the studio and its former ownership at Tencent. Now just over a year later, a trailer for the cancelled game has now leaked online. 

We've seen a number of leaked trailers over the past few months. A trailer for EA Motive's Iron Man game leaked over the summer, and BioWare's Mass Effect 5 trailer leaked after EA announced plans to shut down the studio. This time around, Splash Damage's Transformers Reactivate trailer has leaked:

Much like the leaked Mass Effect and Iron Man trailers, the Transformers Reactivate trailer was for internal use only and wasn't made for public viewing, but rather to show executives as part of a development milestone meeting. The trailer appears to date back to late 2024, just one quarter before the project was officially cancelled.

While this trailer wasn't made for public viewing, it does appear to contain real gameplay, and honestly, the game looks like it would have been a lot of fun, while also hitting a pretty high bar for graphical fidelity.

Unfortunately, Transformers Reactivate has not been picked back up again since its cancellation as far as we know. The owners of the IP have also struggled to work out a deal with Activision to bring back the old Cybertron games, something that Hasbro previously said it was interested in doing, but so far, there has been no movement.
