Have you ever stopped to notice just what it is you are thinking about all day long? What types of thoughts are they? Are they critical, grateful, angry, generous, worried, optimistic, confused or purposeful? Is your mind jumping around or is it focused? Are they the same old thoughts every day?

It’s been estimated that we think 50,000-70,000 thoughts a day. That’s a lot of thoughts! Is it any wonder we feel exhausted by the end of the day? Thinking too much is like eating too much, it simply makes the mind bloated and makes it impossible to think clearly and effectively.

The Mind Detox Plan

For a vibrant, revitalised you, follow the detox plan: the cleanser and the diet.

Become aware of your thoughts. Take a day and decide to stop at specific times to ask yourself: What am 1 thinking about right now? What have I been thinking about over the past hour? How do these thoughts affect how I feel right now? Note the contrast between how you feel when your thoughts are healthy and unhealthy. Steer away from judging your thoughts. You don’t want to create a cascade of more thoughts. Just observe and be aware.
