This posture honors all of the peaceful warriors and spiritual activists out there. It builds strength in the legs and stretches the side body, opening the heart.

1 Begin in Warrior II Pose. As you inhale, tip backward and lift your right arm over your head, looking up. Slide your left hand down your left leg, draw your left hip forward a bit, and arch back.

2 Stay here for 1 to 3 breaths before returning to Warrior II, and switch to the other side.
