Childs Pose In Yoga
Do this for a few minutes.
Then begin to visualize a gentle smiling face and then send it down to the area of your lower back and lower belly area. Give thanks to your kidneys by allowing the smiling face to radiate throughout the lower back area.
To complete this mediation, bring your attention back to your breath at your nostrils. Let go of all other practices. Watch your breath until you feel calm and relaxed. Then when ready, open your eyes gently and release your posture.
When we look at figure 1.3, we can see that the Wood element is supported by the Water element in the Shen (nurturing) cycle and the Metal element supports Wood in the Ko (controlling) cycle. I will talk a little more about the Water element and Metal element later on.
