Shoulder Stand Yoga Pose

Salamba Sarvangasana

Practicing Shoulder Stand every day is meant to lead to increased physical, mental, and emotional health and well-being. In Sanskrit, it translates to “Supported All Parts. ” It nourishes and purifies every part and system of the body, regulates emotions, and calms the mind. By contracting the throat, this Yoga Pose is thought to stimulate the thyroid and parathyroid glands, which are responsible for metabolism and growth. Given the supported position, this inversion can be practiced for longer than most. Practice this asana before your final relaxation or whenever you need a mini reboot.
